Historic Gloucester Church Improves Energy Efficiency with Replacement Windows

Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church is a pillar of the Gloucester, Virginia community. For decades, people have visited the church for Sunday services, charitable events, dinners, and Bible studies. These events are a great source of comfort. Unfortunately, the meeting rooms where these events took place were sometimes uncomfortably hot or cold due their old, outdated windows.  They could not be opened, presenting a fire hazard.

A church committee hired CVP to replace 25 original wood windows in the classroom and meeting areas. CVP installed 25 new, energy-efficient CVP DHA4 Double Hung and Picture windows. The custom-built CVP windows for the church included special details like contour grids between the glass.

Then, our professional installation team worked for a week to install windows in the historic building. They used a typical insert method with maintenance-free aluminum coil wrap and PVC trim board. The result was a clean, attractive look that complimented the architecture of this neighborhood landmark.
